We are seeking an energetic and creative individual to join our Engineering Department. This individual will program the automated machinery that allows us to remain competitive in the global market. This team member will also support Production by programming the machinery to process parts, as well as model and draft parts for production per customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Using Solidworks and Solidworks Sheet Metal modules, create flat patterns, detailed drawings of mechanical parts and assemblies for new and existing products and components from sketches, existing drawings, electronic images and/or customer ideas.
  • Program sheet metal laser cutting, punching and design jigs and tools as needed.
  • Work with shop floor production staff to assure projects and parts are completed on time and to customer specification.
  • Participate in product development projects, as necessary, as well as departmental quality and efficiency initiatives.
  • Will be part of the Engineering team and will have input into standards and department practices going forward.
  • Other tasks and requirements as job or department evolves

Skills, Qualifications & Requirements

Experience with Solidworks and Solidworks sheet metal modules
Experience with ANSI/ASME drafting standards, MS Office Software, ERP systems, modeling
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Ability to properly dimension and create blue prints and identify errors or missing information

Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment, and to work on-site in a team setting with shop floor production staff
